Navigation

Navigation is the process or activity of moving between interconnected units of information on computer networks, such as the internet. Most browsers have a history mechanism which enables users to retrace their navigation steps.

Nested navigation

A commonly used navigation structure that produces tree structured lists which are used to clearly show a site structure. Nested navigation is often collapsible so it is only possible to view sub pages page once the parent item has been selected.

Nice name

A nice name is a human readable URL rather than a URL based on a query string. This improves both general navigation comprehension as well as search engine indexing.

Node

1. A node is any given physical devices attached to a network such as cell phones, computers, printers, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and other network appliances. Every node has a unique network address. Nodes in the IP domain refer to any device having an IP address. Servers in a clustering setting, such as database clusters or Web farms (large installations of Web servers), are also called nodes. 2. In tree structures, a node is a point where multiple lines meet.
