Core CMS
Grouptree's Core CMS provides a powerful and comprehensive solution to site-wide content management. The Core module is the base implementation to which further modules can be added in order to meet specific functionality.
Intuitive editor
The editor provides a fast and intuitive editing suite designed for use by non-technical staff. The Grouptree editor provides true in page editing so administrators can see how the page will look before saving any changes.
Drag and drop page ordering/moving
Moving pages or whole sections of a site is a simple process of dragging and dropping a page into the required location in the tree structure.
Object level security
Objects including pages, users, documents, folders, images etc. can have their permissions individually set to restrict access.
User management and secure areas
The User module enables administrators to organise and manage access permissions for non administrators. This provides the ability to manage password protected pages in the same way that public pages are managed.
Releases and Versioning
The releases module is used to manage time sensitive releases. New pages or edits to existing pages can be published under future releases and will not show on the site until the release date is passed. Each time a page is edited and published an archived version is stored within the system. Administrators can roll back to previous versions of a page providing a valuable audit trail of how a site changes over time.
Search friendly URLs
The nice name 'human readable' URLs feature increases search engine friendliness of a site. By providing the .htm extension and the relevant nice name in a URL search engine ranking is greatly improved. In addition administrators can set the browser title for each page which also greatly enhances search engine optimization.
Lucene free text search
Grouptree CMS uses Lucene free text indexing for fast free text searching across all objects providing sophisticated control down to field level of
indexing, Lucene is widely recognized for its utility in the implementation of Internet search engines and local, single-site searching.
